When I first moved into my New York City apartment, I asked my roommate to grab some vinegar while she was at the store to clean our new countertop ice maker. I was expecting her to pick up the big jug of cleaning vinegar or even distilled white vinegar. But instead, she returned home with apple cider vinegar, something I had never considered using while cleaning.
